Feng Shui in your Home
Thankfully, the year of the Ox (2009) is believed to be a much better year than the year of the Rat (2008). According to feng shui, this year would be the best to buy or upgrade your home.
“There is always a potential for trouble and disharmony unless your home is designed properly.” A believer in feng shui, I have studied quite a few aspects of this ancient belief. You know just that curious little creature within trying to find out if this actually works.
According to feng shui, water and fire side by side or opposite each other should be avoided. A stove shouldn't be next to or opposite the sink or fridge. I have had my kitchen arranged as per feng shui requirements.
For kitchens feng shui recommends using warm colours, softer textures, surfaces, and curves. Lighting up with yellows and reds and not whites, blues, and metals—which make most kitchens look rather cold.
As for the living area it is important that a timber floor connects with timber in the living area. According to feng shui, this avoids fragmentation and a feeling of separation. Moving your furniture around to create something fun and exciting to come home to is another must do for homes if at all you happen to believe in the rules or rather the laws of feng shui. It changes the flow of energy which is good sometimes.
I think most people do not compromise when it comes to their ‘homes sweet homes.’
Everyone wants their homes to be protected from every evil, yet should be a comfortable place to live in. I’m glad we have the Ox and Timbor Home for making homes both pure and aesthetic.

Modular Kitchens Fast Replacing Traditional Kitchens

Every Indian woman dreams to have a kitchen, which looks elegant, stylish, and yet comfortable to work in. A traditional kitchen mostly does not support any of the above adjectives.
Modular kitchens or rather customized kitchens made as per individual needs, may include top class timber, chimneys, ventilators, inbuilt sinks, smooth drawers and sliding cabinets. As compared to traditional kitchens, modular kitchens are easy to dismantle and shift.
Going back ten years into time, when modular kitchen companies from Europe and the U.S. entered Indian markets, the atmosphere was quite different. Most such companies found it difficult to survive—they either took too long to import material, failed to fit the Indian requirements, or were extremely expensive and could cater only to the top cream segment of metropolitan cities. Most of these companies had to soon pull out of India.
However, now things are different. Top Indian brands such Timbor Cucine today offer kitchen solutions that are 100% ‘Made in India’, cater to the Indian kitchen requirements, and have a modest price range easily acceptable by the Indian middle income group. But that does not mean it’s biased towards the group but just a way of making sure every Indian can dream of a modular kitchen. Earlier Modular Kitchens were considered Very Expensive. But Timbor Cucine strives on the Concept, “of offering a wide range of well designed and functional modular kitchens at affordable prices, thus helping more people live a better life at home.”
The maintenance and messiness associated with traditional kitchens have been diminished with the emergence of modular kitchens. Easy to handle features and a comfortable working environment of a modular kitchen has made cooking a passion for many.
The Indian Woman is changing and so are a number of things that revolve around her. She’s no longer considered one who spends hours preparing meals in the kitchen and then making sure the mess is cleaned up. Timbor Cucine is about revolutionizing the experience in the kitchen.
It’s more about Smart Cooking…It’s more about Happy Cooking…!!!
